Service me? No! Service YOU! :)

At one time in my life, I thought I had a handle on the meaning of the word "service."

Webster’s says it’s- "an act of helpful activity; help; aid: to do someone a service. "

Then when you think about these common terms which reference the word SERVICE:

Internal Revenue Service
Postal Service
Telephone Service
Civil Service
City & County Public Service
Customer Service
Service Stations

you can understand how a guy might be feeling confused about the meaning of the word “Service”. When you compare the dictionary definition to those things listed above you got to wonder where the disconnect is!

Then at a diner today I overheard two farmers talking, one of them said he had hired a bull to "service" a few of his cows. BAM! It all came into perspective. Now I understand!

I hope you all are now are as enlightened as I am.

i totally know what's on your mind lately. and what are you saying about all those companies, and government organizations?
if service means to screw, that's what they are doing and not in the good way right?
that it's their job to screw you over?

and i always enjoy a good servicing. only in the good way of course

CrazyMomma- It’s good to see back on top again right where you like it! gol! Is there a bad way to be serviced? I mean I know some servicing’s are better than others but are any of them truly bad? ;)

um there are for sure better ways than others lets be real. and i was of course talking about getting screwed over by the IRS or something, not someone.
good way= sex
bad way=costs money to the government.

Heh. I just wrote a post about good customer service. Now it sounds as if I've been forgetting a very important step. I try to make my customers happy, but not that happy! Sheesh, they expect a lot. :p

I'm all about the service.

(More on the waverunner, there was also an unintentional black eye involved, but my hubby claims it was worth it!)

Beth- Oh thanks! No sooner than I get my mind back in the clean zone I read that! :)
