A Perfect Sunday

Ah, yesterday was Sunday- after two weeks of lingering swine flu and a week of exceeding dismal weather in central Illinois it was a warm and sunny weekend and Sunday was nearly perfect. Out on the deck in a comfy rocking chair with the warm sun beaming down, sipping hot chocolate and reading what is perhaps one of the funniest yet most thought provoking books ever written.

It was wonderful!

Yes I know, this is a boring post but sometimes life is just truly awesome, yet boring at the same time. Weird huh?

Sounds like the perfect day. Amazing how good life can feel after you've been so sick. I wanna know the name of the book, too.

To All- the book was Stanger In A Strange Land. by Robert Heinlein 1961.

This book pokes fun and at almost everything human beings do so if you offend easily DO NOT read this book! :)

I personally *try* to live by Socrates old saying...(paraphrased from memory) "A wise man can not be offended. The truth is never offensive and a lie is not worthy of his contempt." so I love this book.

I read your lingering in the first line as lingerie and had to re-read that line THREE TIMES. No joke.

Jules- I will apply no Freudian analysis to that revelation. {snort!} I lied! :)
